BUTTER WAKEFIELD'S LONDON HOME
This lovely Georgian townhouse, as featured by Vogue and belonging to Butter Wakefield, is the epitome of easy, lived-in elegance. It's both traditional and modern, and totally cosy.
I love the way Wakefield has brought life throughout the house by way of potted plants.
A few days ago, I went to the local nursery and picked up a few delicate smelling plants for inside of our house. They're now sitting in the kitchen, cheering the place up.
Potted plants are much less temporary than cut flower arrangements, and the small and worn terra cotta pots I've planted in bring a really nice earthiness to the house. I perfect prelude to planting season!
Wakefield's happy mantle is cluttered with personal trinkets, potted flowers and hand-painted porcelain. Bright pillows sit comfortably on overstuffed pillow chairs and garden plans grace the zebra skin rug.
The light and bright conservatory is as fresh and verdant as the green gardens it looks onto.
The kitchen is also littered with artwork and flowers, and looks like a warm and casual gathering place.
